Hi, my name is Debby and I am a former owner of a Assisted Living Facility. I now own Open Arms Home and Board Care. This is a program designed for elderly that are independent but just need a little assistance with things that may prevent them from living at home. My program offers a variety of services. Such as: laundry services , 3 home cooked  meals, 2 snacks,  house cleaning, assistance with Doctor appointments, medication reminders, and much more. The best part is it is an income based program. I specifically made sure that the financial part of your needs or stay at Open Arms are not a struggle for you or your family. I assure you or your family the best quality care, that allows your transition to Open Arms to be the best decision you could of made. Here at Open Arms there are semi/private rooms available, all with its own heating source, ceiling fans, are cable ready and are fully furnished. There's a large family room with a 60 inch Tv and a Dvd player for your loved one to watch their favorite show, a house phone to keep in-touch with your loved ones and friends, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, and a large spacious yard to enjoy the summer breeze. Although, there are steps at Open Arms, to assure the safety of our residents, there are 2 hand rails at each step and all walking areas at Open Arms. There are also, fewer steps in the rear of the home. We offer a in-house Doctor that oversees the medications, and visits our residents on a as needed or bi-monthly basis. I  also arrange for pick up on all medications. Open Arms has yearly fire inspections with the Anne Arundel County fire Marshalls, and visits from the state all the time. Our referrals come from many sources. Such as; many hospitals , rehabilitation centers, the crisis centers, Dept. of Social Services and the Dept. of Aging and Disabilities, family and friends. Open Arms doesn't believe that you or your loved one should sit in a chair all day ever. We take our residents on outings, out to eat, places such as: the miniature horse farm, aquarium, zoos, movies, shopping, and much more.... Some of our residents are able to go to the day care programs, these programs provide transportation to and from the day care programs. Transportation is also provided by the Dept. of Aging. and the Balto. VA  to and from places you may need to go as well. I help schedule those pick up and drop of times.

If you have any questions about my program, please feel free to contact the Dept. of Aging and Disabilities and they we be more then glad to address any concerns you may have.
